Expanded Polystyrene Rigid Foam (EPS-Expanded Polystyrene Foam) is a typically white colored thermoplastic material with closed pores in foam form, obtained from petroleum by polymerization of styrene monomer.
EPS; It occurs as a result of the contact of the polystyrene raw material with water vapor with heat, the pentane gas in the raw material granules swelling the granules and the adhesion of the swollen granules to each other in the honeycomb texture with the processes in the forming machines.
In special productions, there are also products called carbon eps in gray/black tones in which the particles are processed to reflect long wave radiation. These products provide approximately 20% better insulation at the same thicknesses compared to traditional EPS. It gets its color from the carbon black particles it contains.
It is produced as slab and billet in the range of densities from 10 Kg / m3 to 30 Kg / m3 according to the needs. Insulation, support, packaging, decorative etc. used for the purposes.
